Question "Airbag" Door emblem removal

Hello there,

So I purchased a Carbon fiber version of this part and can't figure out how to remove it.... The new part looks like it should just pull right out from the door panel. I have tried multiple ways of prying/pulling and have gotten nowhere except slightly scratching the leather around the emblem and damaging the current emblem......... Anyone have any idea how to get this part out? what am I missing..?

Thanks for any help!

The small plastic pin you see on the rear side is melted from OEM side to the door panel. You need to drill them out..
As you anyway destroy the OEM badges you´ll not have to remove the door panels for that job.
Place an standard wood drill in the correct size in center of your OEM badge and go ahead carefully.
When you´re deep enough you´ll be able to take it off and put in place your new ones (would recommend to fix with a drop of glue).

Enjoy to give your door panels the final details.

Hi,

no prob, the belt trims are clipsed in place only. Use an plastic interior tool to push them off.. Exterior mirrors are a bit more complicated, please check PM for details.

Thanks and best regards from Germany
