981 Shift **** by RaceSeng ...

I have seen some of the earlier prototypes on the Porsche forum, so I contacted RaceSeng to get one. It took them a little while to finish the design and get a package ready, so I finally was able to order one:

Based on my style of shifting (mostly palm) I was torn between the Countour and the Topology, but in the end I went with the Contour once my wife & daughter gave me their advice

Since my White Boxster S has red seatbelts, I went with the matching Red shift ****:

What comes in the kit:

Like shown in several other posts, removing the trim is very easy - just go slow:

The kit allows to adjust the height of the ****, which I took advantage off by setting it up as low as it would go, therefore giving me a little bit of a short-shift-kit:

The shift **** is indeed press-fit. You have to simply pull it up, although some are "very" tight, and will take a lot of tries before it finally comes up:

Follow the instructions to fit things:

And put the trim back:

Daytime picture on the way to work yesterday (yes, top down):

How does it feel? Great. Much firmer feel, which makes sense since this is no longer plastic covered with leather - it is solid. There is of course a slightly higher shift effort that comes from the **** sitting a little lower (which is what I wanted), but the added weight of the solid SS core helps with that, so I really like it. Highly recommended mod

Will

Full disclosure: I bought this with my own money. Nobody is paying me to post here. I simply like the shift **** and wanted to share with others.
