Hey guys, thinking of getting rid of the alphabet soup in the rear end of my 911 4S and moving P O R S C H E lettering in the middle, like it comes from factory. I think stencil required to do this job perfectly and I don't trust myself doing it...any ideas of any 3rd party (relatively cheap) options to getting this done from? I don't want to go to stealership for this and getting mugged in the process....looking for something in the Bay Area ...many thanks!
It's worth going to the dealer to use the template. The most common error that people make when they try a DIY installation is that they put the letters straight across the bumper, parallel to the ground. They should follow the subtle curvature of the bumper.

Couldn't agree more. The dealership sent me to the body shop that has templates and the guys did the perfect job!
Fester that looks just right. Now that you've had your 4S a few years, would you do anything differently if ordering again? Thx.
Hey, actually I was just talking to someone today - I won't change a single thing. I'm such a happy camper with my config..4 yrs and counting...this one is a keeper
Right now getting a new Rangie- may be next one is a hardcore one on the list..still NA engine fan...so it'll be GT3 / RS etc!
Just had a look at my car in different light and there are tiny template scratches all over my bumper...............can barely see them . Good Saturday am job to remove.

i noticed mine too and it was annoying. I went back there and they polished these out. Unlike DIY job (dental floss etc), the workshop uses wire to remove old lettering, that produces scratches
If anyone is still looking for badging help in the Bay Area, Anderson Behel has the templates - I've seen them.
They did a perfect job rebadging my bumper after repair as far as I can tell.
funny as I used them as well. Since it wasn't tied to repair, they put scratches while removing old lettering - they're very forthcoming in finding ways to take care of it now it's up
to me to decide whether I can live with them (most of the time only I can see them) or follow their recommendation of invasive remedy...I'm still undecided ...
