Official Aston Martin Picture Thread!
That is GORGEOUS! I was thinking of doing my 240Z in a color like that, but pivoted to the flat grey color Porsche uses... now I'm waffling again.
Mathman85 are you looking to paint or wrap. I have experience with Matte grey paint as well. My preeunner/overland truck is matte grey. The key I found for matte finish is pearl in the base coat. A good quality matte clearcoat and lay the matte clear down thick. It reduces the appearance of chalking you see on matte finishes The pearl in the base looks good as well. Here's some pics of my matte on my truck.
That looks great!
I'll probably have it painted, because it's going to need to be blasted down to metal and filled in to correct some rust. If the body was perfect, I'd consider wrapping it, but it's from 1973 and it has sat, almost entirely untouched, for over 30 years.

Just curious, did you re-paint the car? Mine is an Aston color; morning frost white pearl, at least that's what I've been able to determine so far. In the sunlight it is absolutely stunning. It's not overbearing or gaudy, very elegant is how I would describe it. Not similar at all to the Cadillac pearl white. This one is a bit more subdued but yet shines neatly and clean. I can't describe it well enough to convey it to others.
It's interesting because when I purchased the car it was listed as "white" exterior color, but I've heard that this special white was an expensive upgrade. I don't know for sure and haven't been able to confirm it. Regardless it's very nice.

Devon v8v. It's original paint from the Aston Factory. The previous owner special ordered the car with this paint and interior. Its a Porsche Pearl white paint code. From what I was told by the dealership I bought it from. The salesman told me the previous owner spent a small fortune on extras in 09 when he ordered the car.
