Once again a top notch job by Brendan and the guys at Brentuning , Sean @ SRM engineering for all the advice, support, products, tuning on this car.
Cant thank these guys enough and I'm very satisfied and happy with the car right now.
I will say after driving the car, even with the SRM K24 turbos, that spool/lag is not even an issue. Comparing the graphs with the stock K16s vs. SRM K24s they spool exactly the same which is amazing considering that these turbos are capable of 850+whp. Cant go wrong at all and for the money the best option out there for what you get, stock motor to built motor.
We ended up stopping at 660awhp/585awtq and thats only because we were hitting the limit of fueling (fuel pump) , Brendan says theres another 40-50whp on the table and 700+whp capable in the car as is with a few little fueling tweaks. This is all on 93 octane fueling, no E85, STOCK motor, Mustang dyno.
You ran out of fuel with 1000's and 660hp? I would think you had another 100hp before you started running into problems.
Yeah unfortunetly the single Walbro and stock lines wont do it, it was up a little over 700whp before we backed it down to keep it safe and have a little room just incase. My plans are to put in a dual pump setup and a bigger feed line, that should be more than enough especially with a stock motor.

Congrats. Amazing what you were able to accomplish with such a basic setup. Curious, how many miles are on the motor? Also, what do you have planned next?

Mind posting some graphs comparing boost between two turbo setups? I'm REALLY skeptical about "spool/lag/ is not even an issue". That is too subjective, anyway.

Motor has 89k and runs great my plan is to add a dual pump and a bigger fuel feed line to the system, its good to know we have more room with the car and can easily be in the 700+whp range with those few changes but for now ill leave it as is and enjoy the car.

Awesome results, nonetheless, congrats!!!
Thanks, When I drove the car after I installed the turbos I didnt notice any huge difference in lag at all compared to my previous k16 setup and the dyno graph didnt lie, even my tuner was impressed. I only have one graph which might not be too clear but it will give you an idea. Same boost pressure btw..

I actually have logs via Durametric and no k24 or k24 billet or any other non k16 will spool up as fast as a stock k16. It’s physically impossible.
It shifts the spool at least 800 Rpms to the right. That’s just the math.
Now put it on the Black Dyno and run it. With those mustangs figures it should trap north of 135 mph all day.
Good job. Enjoy in good health

Thanks bud, I was surprised myself that there wasnt a huge difference in lag. For sure thats the plan, our local Black Dyno is closed for the season but I will be getting down the track with it as soon as it opens up or even might take a ride up to the next state. I'd love to hit 10s , and a trap speed over 135mph would be nice
