996 Turbo 74mm Plenum Upgrade
996 Turbo 74mm Plenum Upgrade
I am considering installing the 74mm IPD Plenum along with the matching 74mm bosch throttle body. can you use the factory Y pipe or will that have to be upgraded as well? do you need to use a reducer if so?
My car currently has an EPL tune and a maxspeed 200cell cat exhaust.
I plan on adding along with the plenum and throttle body....switzer headers, 3.5"intercoolers, silicone boost hoses on both sides of intercoolers, upgraded air intake box/filter, silicone F-pipe, billet diverter valves, new spark plugs and 997 coil packs. This is all in preparation for adding k-16 billet hybrid turbos, and I want to re-tune when I install the new turbos in the future.

You can still use the stock Y-Pipe with a reducer.
I don't think you really need a re-tune for this, a e-gas calibration yes but the MAF sensor will still be telling the computer how much air is entering the engine.
Based on the package you're building you should really reach out to Sam @ ByDesign if you haven't already done so.
