What a nice day it was. Saw the new vantage getting build in front of my eyes. It’s a good looking car in real life. Much better then the pictures in magazines or online. It’s a much bigger car then I thought it would be. Just a beauty. Db11 always a stunning car to see. I have seen them in manny different colours and they all look different.
Thank you for these 'real' pictures...looks amazing. The new Vantage also looks great in a more sedate colour scheme.
Next time I'm in the UK...I'm doing it.
Do you have to book well in advance??
Thanks for the pictures and impressions. Looks awesome.
I've been asking the Aston Martin dealer (Exclusive Automotive Group) in Washington DC for over a month to set up a tour and they still haven't acknowledged a date for me (hoping for late May/early June).
Did you arrange through your dealer and how long did it take them to set it up?
I contacted Aston Martin directly for a tour. My dealers was also useless to arrange a you to busy selling new cars. When i emailed them, it took a while, i can give you guys the email i used for the tour. I had to pay a small fee for the tour. The tour was very nicely arranged, its like fort knox, have to register by security then go to the VIP reception.
It was very special to see the cars being build in from tof you.I spend quite a bit of time watching he guys building the new vantage, they had some issues building them and everything was getting logged, photographed and recorded by camera. I have seen some really nice colors, that are just awesome in real life.
For sure my bond with Aston Martin got a lot stronger talking to there employees and guy's working on the cars.
ps. You are not allowed to take any pictures inside the factory where they build them. Otherwise i would have post them
In that day i was there, they only finished building 8 DB11 cars for that day. 2000 people work in that factory. 8 cars If you would compare that to Porsche or any other brand it tough to understand how they can survive.
I am very honoured to a own a Aston, and it was very special to see the birthplace of my DB9.

Ron

Would be neat to order personalized door sills and pick them up at the factory. Would love to visit that factory. Did they ask if you owned an Aston?
Ferrari is one our clients and they are supposed to give great tours as we are vital to their success and history.
Contact Tony Hall. He is a member on here and does the custom door sills for Aston Martin. I picked mine up from him when I was over there this past summer.
