Selling the double-din head unit out of my Porsche 996. Will fit 996s as well as 997s. Some notes on the light usage of this. Was installed at 22k miles and the car now has 35k miles. So it really has one year of use.

Kenwood DNX6960 all in one head unit. It features easy-to-use navigation by Garmin, crystal clear bluetooth phone connection by Parrot and 3 sets of 5V Preouts. It allows the connection of a rearview camera as well with automatic switching. I also added a front view camera using the Video 2 input. Please note that neither rearview nor frontview camera are included but are inexpensive to source. It plays back several file types from MP3s, DVDs to standard CD Audio. The sound quality is phenomenal.

Absolutely like brand new. Was professionally installed in my rarely driven Porsche 996 and professionally removed. The car previously had a Kenwood head unit in it when I bought it so the installer did not need to use the mounting cage, trim plate, wiring harness, GPS antenna or bluetooth microphone. And the original built-in amplifier has never been used as I've always run it with an external 4 channel amp. As such these items will be shipped as new in original packaging!

does this unit have the built in GPS or does it require an additional box?

 

It has the built-in GPS Nav from Garmin. When a destination is entered it interrupts the music to provide the guidance. Additionally if you are viewing the CD screen, it will still display the next turn direction on the bottom 1/8th of the screen. You will need to mount the provided GPS antenna which fits perfectly under the alarm sensor trim at the center of the dash top.

I tend to use my phone to look up where to go vs. using the built-in Points of interest search as it is easier on a phone. Once I have the address I enter them in.

Found the remote and it will be included (pictured)! Also I've now listed it on ebay since I want to move it by the end of the week.

A few have inquired about whether it will be compatible with their car. My research shows it drops right in if you have a regular base system or Bose but will require an external amp if you have a MOST system. Buyer should do all research and confirm fitment. Please consider stopping by a local high end audio shop to confirm things.
