Dinan M3 with Competition Package - Time to Say Goodbye
Dinan M3 with Competition Package - Time to Say Goodbye
this for sale has moderator approval .... GT3 Chuck
The time has come for me to part with my dear car.
Of all the great cars I’ve been fortunate to own, E39 M5, 996 911 Turbo, this Dinan M3 with Competition Package is by far the most fun I’ve had. Such a unique combination of handling, power, engine dynamics, comfort, sport, class...I could go on.....and it looks phenomenal!! I'm going to miss it.

Under warranty to 100k, bluetooth, navigation with 2008 DVD, custom cinnamon suede headliner, volt, air/fuel ratio, and engine oil pressure gauges, Dinan serial number S03761, I-POD MP3 hookup, plus lots of upgrades. Asking $37,500

Thanks for looking. The car is very clean.
The car just got new brakes over the summer, new clutch in the spring, new belt last month, and new battery in the summer. All work performed by BMW and I have the receipts. Inspection II needs to be performed now.
The warranty is good through 2012 and 100k miles. You're welcome to call me for more details. 815-505-2694.

Wow... more fun than a 996 Turbo? All the research I've done on this board comparing the two always says the opposite. (Not referring to comp. pkg. though).
Can you tell us what all upgrades it has?

I loved the 911 turbo; it was just a little heavier so you could feel the weight with change in direction. However, it was definitely faster in a straight line. The Competition M3 is more tossable. This car just sounds incredible as it soars up to the redline. With the Dinan Stage 3 software, the redline is higher too. Here's some of the car's additions from my write-up:
Dinan M3 with Competition Package which includes Alcantara Suede Steering Wheel, Huge Cross-Drilled Brakes, 19-in. BBS Wheels, M-Track Mode for DSC, and a quicker steering rack than normal M3s, Dinan Serial Number S03761 includes Dinan High Flow Cold Air Intake, Dinan Free Flow Exhaust, Dinan Mass Air Flow Sensor, Dinan Stage 3 Engine Software, Dinan Brushed Aluminum & Carbon Fiber Strut Tower Brace, Dinan Pedals, and Dinan Floor Mats, Dinan Package Gives Car a Total of 355 HP, and 281 lb-ft, Rare Silver-Gray w/ Cinnamon Interior, Custom Cinnamon Suede Headliner, Custom BMW Cinnamon Shift Boot, BMW Sport Seats with Adjustable Bolsters, Xenon Headlights, Halo/Angel Eyes, Hard Wired for Radar Detector, GPS Navigation with 2008 Map DVD, I-Pod Hook-up, Parking Sensors, 100k Warranty, Volt, Air/Fuel Ratio, and Oil Pressure Gauges, Carbon Fiber Front Air Splitters, New Battery, New Brakes, New Clutch, 2nd owner, Immaculate Condition, Always Garaged, Always Hand Waxed and Clay Bar, No Accidents Clean CarFax, Very Pampered, Enthusiast Owned, Call for More Details

I have one in the exact same interior and exterior colors, and competition package as well, however mine is SMG! What an amazing car...there's just something about it that makes me fall more in love with it every day. Someone will be very happy to get their hands on this...sorry to see you get rid of such a beautiful car, but good luck with the sale OP!

Chillar15, your car looks great! I really like what you've done with the rims and the front splitter. I know what you're saying about loving the looks more and more everyday. I think the Competition Package really gives the car an edge. The quicker steering rack and larger brakes are very noticeable. Plus, the BBS wheels look great.
Do you have performance mods on your car?
Thanks for the well wishes.

Yeah, the competition Package really makes it a different car altogether. As for performance mods, it has a Gruppe M carbon kevlar intake, Supersprint Sport Exhaust, and 4.10 gearing. If you end up keeping the car, 4.10 gears are really worth it. They give the car the torque it should have had from the factory. You really don't have to search for higher rpms anymore either, even with a hard push on the accelerator from as low as 2k rpms you see a huge gain. You should also try listing your car on m3forum.net and e46fanatics.com.

Well you can get them new from discovery automotive (http://www.discovery-automotive.com/...Products&id=85) or see if someone is parting them out on the two forums I mentioned in my last post. As for specific ad posting rules, I don't think you need any moderator approval there, but I would read any stickies in the forum to be safe. Where did you get those CSL front splitters for the OEM bumper btw? Would you be willing to part those out?
Oh, and here's a few helpful 4.10 gear threads:

If your car is under warranty until 100k miles, try getting your hands on a car with 4.10 gearing, and I don't think you'll want to get rid of it once you see the difference!

Chillar15 thanks for the great information. I did post an ad on e46fanatics.
I'm committed to selling the car, sorry, I don't plan to part it out. I'm sure if I learned about the 4.10 gearing a couple weeks ago, I would've ordered it already
