It only took me 7 months of looking daily. I am rather obsessive. Now that I have the car I have too much freetime.

i've been looking for the right 996tt but the ones in CA seem to be 7-10k over blue book, and one I'm strongly considering is in FL.

So I understand your pain, but be thankful we're in a position to be looking to buy such beautiful automobiles.

It will take time...and buying around this time certainly doesn't help with summer right around the corner...

Good luck with your search. When you see the one you want, you'll know it. Then just work on the price.

BTW, I do have my '08 Porsche Certified 997TT for sale on another thread.

Good luck!

It's just as bad at the econocar level, but I imagine their thinking is that if you can afford to look at a newer Porsche, you can afford to pay whatever markup they want...

And the perfect 996TT is hard to find because noone ever wants to sell them unless they can afford to upgrade. *Laugh* I'm more interested in a basket-case one, and they're impossible to find...

Half the fun is the search. Its like your feeding your own inner animal.. staying up late at night, searching the auto forum, autotrader, ebay, craigslist.. its almost borderline insanity finding the right car. And then when you find it.. you turn a corner and the mod bug takes over from there and again the inner animal has you staring at a computer screen looking for the next performance bit. Its a never ending cycle.. life of a porsche fantatic.
