This is not another neglected 996. This is the MKII (02-04) with 3.6 motor which means extra horsepower, more features, and all without the catastrophic MKI design flaws (particularly the IMS time bomb found on the 99-01 models). All of the common problems have been addressed and fixed/updated. My Porsche is in excellent condition, and someone is going to be very happy with this car. You will not find another 996 any year, in better condition. There are cheap 996’s out there (mostly 99-01 MKI models), but you get what you pay for. This is why I waited to buy this car when I did, so I could drive without worrying, and I have never regretted my purchase nor will with you if you completed this purchase. Top Down Porsche cruising to work or play is waiting, don’t miss out.
I'm moving to Wisconsin for work until October then off to Manhattan. There is no need in this car just sitting in a garage at my home in Texas, nor will I introduce it to salt from snow covered roads (Texas car its whole life, never seen snow).
For any 6speedonline member I will ship or deliver the car anywhere in the 48 states. (I will either ship the car or hand deliver the car myself (and fly back) at my discretion). Asking $29,500 including delivery (will discount for local pickup). This car needs nothing, everything is ready to go.

Mirror finish, notice my reflection in the paint. Headlights are still like new, crystal clear.

Cool, I'm about 4 and half hours from you 290 E to I-10 all the way to Beaumont, then about 25 minutes north on Hwy 96. It's a pretty straight from you.

I'm in the Beaumont, TX area. Town is Buna TX 77612

If you want do something before Saturday let me know, because Saturday leaving for Wisconsin (although I can fly back in if necessary to complete the deal, the car will still be here though I'm not taking it with me).

I'm in Waukesha, Wisconsin now, but the car is still available for viewing as my friends and family are going to help me show it at my house in Texas. I will also fly back in to Texas to complete the sale, so everything should go just as smooth as if I was there.

PM me if your interested or give me a call 409-782-6666 cell

This statement is incorrect. IMS failure are found in all M96 engines; specifically from '99 to '05-'06 models.

I was waiting on an expert to chime in

There are plenty of IMS discussion in the 996 forum, since your obviously not interested in buying something why don't we keep the IMS debate there.

I did not make an error in "Facts" since there are very little Facts on just why these things occur. The closest thing to fact is that MKI motors have far more failures than the MKII design, not to mention straight from Porsche (Momentum Porsche Houston), stated very clearly that my car was just fine, and that most IMS problems occured in the 99-01 models and in very low mileage garage queens on the MKII+. Does it happen occasionally on the MKII yes... but you can't say a car has a problem just because it happens to a few cases.

My adverstised item did make full and accurate disclosure of my item for sale, and it has been inspected by Porsche dealer in Houston, TX so problem solved end of debate.

I thought this was a for sale forum, didn't know everything in the forum was a IMS debate. I mean seriously.... Can I just sell my car without drama from internet experts...

If anyone is interested in my car, please feel free to post or contact me. The new owner of this car will not be disappointed, one of the nices 996's out there.

If your not interested in buying the car or just want to post up negative opinions, want a debate for the overly debated IMS, or anything else, please don't post here since this is a for sale forum. Feel free to PM me, so this can stay clear for what the forum was intended to be a For Sale Forum.
