1998 BMW M3 with LS3 swap for sale

Year: 1998
Make: BMW
Model: M3
Price: $23000
Mileage: 119000
Color: White
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): CA
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive

Selling my 1998 BMW M3 with LS3 swap and 6 Speed T56 transmission.

$23,000 or best offer.

Car is located in Irvine California.

Full story of the car and the build is Here http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1624778 , I am hiding nothing, you can see the full build from stock. I've had the car for about a year. It currently has 119K miles on the chassis and only 1K on a freshly built LS3. I had a LS1 in it first, but had a valvetrain failure so the motor was pulled and I built the new LS3. I have over 30K in the car as it sits right now. On the last dyno session it put down 455whp and 435wtq. It stupid fast, it destroys my buddies E92 M3 with a supercharger that puts down 490whp.

The entire suspension was replaced, every bushing and all balljoints.

Only issues with the car are driver door lock solenoid sometimes doesnt work. It opens and closes with a key just fine. I also lost the remote control, so it only has a manual key. The Alarm is installed and functional just need the fob.

Seriously?
I never would have thought of this GM powertrain conversion in an e36 or any European

I think I like it. Sounds and looks great. I am an e36 fan as well as an LSX follower. I have an LS3 in my 67

Too bad I have no spare cash

I've followed this build on M3 Forum. I am quite jealous of this car. Best of luck with your sale.

Handles nice, it has all new suspension.

With ported heads and bigger cam it can easily make 550whp.

Is white rare for an E36 M3? It looks stunning. I little more window tint and it would look menacing IMHO. Do you know what the weight difference from stock is?

White is not super rare, but it does look good

It is about the same weight as before. Engine is actually lighter since it aluminum vs iron block, transmission is a bit heavier, so it's a wash.

Wow this is a very cool build and puts out about what I did with my ls2 V, but 1000 lbs less, must be real fun to drive!

Was the heat soak ever addressed, or does it still have it?

Current intake setup has a bit of heatsoak, but it's manageable. I have eliminated heatsoak when I pipe the filter through the opening in the fender, but I dynoed it and it lost 5whp due to extra piping. So the buyer has an option to run either config.
