Sold!!2001.5 low mi Nogaro 6spd AWE stg 3 Audi S4, Ohlins, 355mm Brembos, reblt trans

Year: 2001
Make: Audi
Model: S4
Price: $18200
Mileage: 67500
Color: Nogaro Blue
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): CA
Transmission: Manual

If you’re looking for a low mileage Nogaro 6spd AWE stage 3 Audi S4 with rebuilt trans, OEM RS4 CF interior trim, Ohlin coilovers with 700F/800R spring rates, Brembo 355mm 4 piston front brakes with two piece rotors, 034 Motorsport 300mm rear brakes, 4:1 center diff, BBS CH wheels, and more, then I think you’ll like this car.

I’ve decided to sell my 2001.5 Nogaro 6 speed AWE stage 3 S4.I bought it in Oct 2006 with around 44K miles. It has 67.5k miles right now.It was originally featured in Eurotuner at http://www.awe-tuning.com/media/pdf/6_05_eurotuner.pdf and the ad from the previous owner is at http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/97278-2001-5-Nogaro-Black-CF-6spd-AWE-stage-3-Eurotuner-Feature.Per Carfax, I believe that I’m the fourth owner.Per the previous owner, the stage 3 kit was installed at approximately 20K miles. When I bought the car, it had Stasis Tracksport coilovers, but I sold those and bought Ohlin Motorsports coilovers from Stasis, plus added the 4:1 center differential mod.I also upgraded from Green top to Green Giant fuel injectors. I ran the car at various Audi Club and Nasa track events in 2007-2008, but I then bought a Honda Civic hatch full race car and saved the S4 for street driving only. I’ve always used Mobil1 0-40W oil, and made sure to warm up the engine oil before getting into boost, and cool it down afterwards. The car has always passed California Smog tests without any issues.

I want to disclose that I had one accident with the car – in Oct 2009 there was an animal on the freeway, and the bumper, radiator, A/C condenser, and subframe brace/rear cross support had to be replaced with 2Bennett Automotive in Davis CA doing the repair.

Why am I selling the car??Well, I’ve got a 2001 6-speed 2.7T A6 and a F150 truck, and with the Honda Civic hatch for track days, I decided to go ahead and sell the S4.I’m located in Sunnyvale, CA (zip 94087) with the price being 18.2K.

Color: Nogaro Blue Pearl Effect – some chips in the paint on the bumper and minor chips in the hood, plus under the fenders where they were rolled.
Interior: Onyx
Int. Trim: OEM RS4 Carbon fiber
Mileage: 67,XXX

Etchhead - Thanks for the comment. I think that I ran with NCRC (Norcal Racing Club) at Laguna Seca in the S4, and ended up running a 1:49 as my fastest lap. The thing is, that I really wasn't driving the car very hard in the corners, as I wasn't sliding the car/tires at all.

In my Honda Civic hatch race car (shown below - basically setup for Nasa Honda Challenge H2 series with 180-185whp, 8500rpm, and 2500 lbs with 160lb driver), in the same timeframe, I ran a 1:52 lap, but that was without the rear wing. Recently, my lap time (with the wing) in the Civic was 1:47 with a passenger, and with a pro level driver and me as the passenger, the laptime was around 1:45, so I'm sure that the laptime with the S4 would be a good bit faster with a good driver pushing the car hard.

One nice thing, is that with the Twin2 exhaust plus exhaust elbows, hopefully the 90db sound limit won't be much of an issue for the S4 at Laguna. The S4 was fun to drive at Sonoma/Infineon plus Laguna with all of the power, torque, and traction for accelerating out of the slower corners (like turn 4 and 11 at Sonoma, and 6 and 11 at Laguna). - Jim

Nice! I was finally able to beat my 996tt Laguna time in the 997GT3 last month (1:40.2). I find with the noise restrictions and hills the quite HP is key, or the best exit speeds. My old S4 only had a Giac tune and was automatic but saw all of the cool builds with K04s. It's the RS build so no doubt safe and performance guaranteed.

I'm looking for a purpose built track car to replace the GT3... I think.

Lowering the asking price

A few people have been interested in the car, but no final deal yet. I'm lowering my asking price from 19K to 18.2K - Jim
