Smile FS: 2007 BMW M5 DINAN S3 5.8L Stroker, ADV1, BREMBO, WALD, LOW MILES, MANUAL - NJ

Year: 2007
Make: BMW
Model: M5
Price: $67980
Mileage: 28400
Color: Silver Gray Metallic
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): NJ
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive

I am listing my 2007 BMW M5 (e60 chassis) for sale. Considered the last 4-door super car. This vehicle is not for everyone and its not the cheapest M5 on the market by any means, but it is one of the cleanest most unique. To replicate this car you are looking at at least $75-80k (if you find an M5 for $25k)

Description: This is the last body style equipped with BMW's S85 V10 engine. The original award winning 5.0L was replaced by a Dinan Built 5.8L v10. This is one of 48 M5’s with the Dinan S3 package. However, after the S3 package was completed, I felt the cars stopping power needed a little bit of an upgrade, as well as some aesthetics on the exterior.

Acceleration Test Results for S3 (E63) M6 with 5.7L Engine (as tested by Road & Track, 12/08) 0-60 MPH: 3.8 seconds 1/4 mile: 11.9 seconds at 124.8 mph

Other than the High Performance Stroker Motor and supporting Software, the Dinan S3 package also includes Carbon Fiber High Flow Mass Meter/Intake assemblies, Free Flow Exhaust, High Flow Throttle Bodies, 13% Underdrive Crankshaft Pully kit, Carbon Fiber Strut Tower Brace, High Performance Spring set, and Supplemental Ride Quality & Handling Kit putting this beast in the 628 horsepower range. Also installed was a Dinan 3.91 Limited Slip Differential. I have not yet put this car on a dyno, so I do not have actual hp and torque figures.

You are looking at a 0-60 time of 3.8 seconds - there isn’t much that is going to keep up with this brutal machine. It pulls and pulls all the way up to redline. With an original sticker price of $97,060, and an additional $75,000+ spent in upgrades, I have not cut any corners. The car has practical performance and elegant aesthetics, to make this one of the most unique, authentic and original e60 M5’s in the country.

Interior: From the perforated leather seats to the Alcantara headliner there is a beautiful blend of luxury and performance. BMW did an absolutely stunning job with this interior. The Head-up Display, gauges and media screen are all beautifully designed. The Leather seats, along with the leather wrapped dashboard and Alcantara headliner are in great condition. This car was well maintained inside and out and it definitely shows.

Exterior: It’s no secret that out of the box the e60 M5 has been reviewed as an eyesore. I felt the car needed to be set apart from the other M5’s on the road as far as the aesthetic aspect goes, to complement the performance upgrades. I had an authentic Wald International front lip and rear diffuser ordered and installed by Xclusv Autosports (located in Staten Island, NY). This shop has an outstanding reputation for quality craftsmanship and products used coupled with customer service. Their knowledge of cars and the skills of the owner/installers yield a finished product that is second to none in the industry. I am not surprised their next available appointment is 3 months out. The ADV.1 ADV10 wheels really compliment the car and are in great shape with new Hankook tires. The rear tires are 305/25/ZR20 and the fronts 255/30ZR20. Behind the wheels sits a Brembo GT Big Brake Kit. More specifically a 6pot 405x34mm front with a 4pot 380x28mm rear. Calipers are finished in a beautiful yellow that really stands out behind the brushed aluminum finished ADV1 wheels and Silver Gray paint of the car.

Drivetrain: The 5.8-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine has been modified to produce close to 628 horsepower, with its supporting modifications offered with the Dinan S3 package. The engine specs listed below are complemented by the authentic signature of Steve Dinan, himself, on the valve heads.

Bore:94mm / Stroke: 83mm Compression Ratio: 12.0:1
Dinan proprietary forged crankshaft
Dinan proprietary lightweight forged pistons
Dinan proprietary light-weight connecting rods
Balanced and blueprinted
Dinan electronics and engine management software
Dinan serial numbered block

Shifts are smooth and direct and the clutch handles the power perfectly. The upgraded 6 piston front and 4 piston rear Brembo Big Brake kit are the only thing that could bring this rocket ship to a halt. This car is very mechanically sound and has been maintained properly, with documentation.

**Inspections are more than welcome!**

Key Facts:

- Clean Carfax

- Brembo Brakes and ADV.1 wheels have less than 2k miles on them.

- Dinan S3 kit has under 5k miles on it, and was all installed by Dinan authorized Motor Works West in Wykoff, NJ.

- One of 48 Dinan S3 e60 M5’s in the world.

- Rare 6-speed manual transmission

- Just hit 28K original miles on the odometer

- Authentic Wald International front lip and rear diffuser

- Dinan 3.91 Limited Slip Differential

-Silver Gray Metallic with black interior. Car was equipped with every single option possible from the factory. (heads up display, active seats, cooled and heated seats, nav, rear sunshades, EDC suspension..etc, I can send you the options sheet which I also have in my records.

I am in the process of getting more pictures posted up.

All said and done I have over $80K in upgrades alone to the vehicle. I am in no rush to sell the vehicle by any means. The only reason I am entertaining the idea of selling this car is because I would like to get into a Porsche. I am not interested in parting out the vehicle at this time.

PRICE $67,980 OBO. I have a clean clear title in hand.

I know. Its bittersweet. I feel like I am getting cold feet now that there is a couple of very serious buyers.

Thanks man. The V10 is truly something else, especially with the extra 0.8L the exhaust note is like a symphony.

They are incredible cars!! The Stroker package is just spectacular. Your car looks like a twin of ours, Silver Grey/Black 5.8l, although we have different wheels is all. Never sell for me, 1st and last of it's kind!

I will pass it on... Good luck with the sale!

Walk around videos

hey guys so I had some time today to give the car a quick wash (not that it needed it) and take some walk-around videos. I will try to post the links in the OP as I upload the videos. Here is what I have so far..and they were recorded in HD so you can click to have youtube play them in HD if you'd like.

on a side not does anyone know how to embed the actual video into the thread, if allowed?

Engine Bay Walk Around -

EDIT 9/11/15: here are a few more that I took today:

Drivers seat -

The rest of the interior -

BUMP. I just had all of the bolts on the front lip of the Wald International kit replaced with nice stainless steel ones. The ones that came with the kit were starting to look rusted out. Lastly, I took the ///M logo off the audio system, so the plexiglass is clear now. Any questions please ask! I am here to help.
