Help! :) - Looking for a 12 Virage or 13 DB9 Volante

So...Been looking for just the right Aston for a little over a year. Need to vent as the allure to find a new one is starting to take over. I keep telling myself to be patient, but it's gut wrenching difficult.

Have owned an 05 DB9 and 11 V8VS roadster. Loved both and would like to find a babied 12 Virage or 13 DB9 volante (wife's only stipulation). Almost pulled the trigger on the 13 V8VS roadster at Galpin in Van Nuys a few months back, but would prefer the 12 cylinder engine.

The 05 DB9 is what introduced me to these awesome cars and the V8VS was incredible, but the dealer misrepresented a small amount of paint work under the hood and unwound the deal and cut me a check. This Aston dealer has been on the hunt for a suitable car, but the mileage or options are typically excessive.

I peruse all the usual car for sale sights daily and have more email alerts set than I care to admit. Anyone have recommendations on what other options to consider? BTW, special recognition to Skywagon for checking out the 12 Virage in Gilbert. Was not the "right" one as it has been thoroughly enjoyed

Thanks again!
-JC

Thanks! I have been considering that one. Just wondering how "blue" it looks in person. Any thoughts? If it was a contemporary silver or other basic color, I would have purchased it asap.

The blue seems OK - nice looking car - I too would prefer silver, but my V12S is black, one of my least choices, but I can live with the color if all else is in great shape and priced right

I am a black on black car guy. Only reason why I don't like blue cars is because I have to tint the windows. I don't think any blue car with tint looks good, or at least with dark tint.

Cobalt Blue does look stunning however, and i would bet it is a very rare color. Looks good with the black top though.

Only think visually I see is the Blue Thread used on interior stitching. I you don't mind that, then this might be a great car for you. Rare in all likelyhood, and in Minneapolis, they likely would cut a deal due to winter arriving about now.

Actually... I had a V12S with silver trim - the one I have now I got from Morries with Yellow Trim which I did not like at first as well, now living with it, I actually like it better, sometimes colors work that way. Morries has been really good to work with, and your right about cold weather coming in as far as pressure to deal.

Thanks everyone for the comments. Sent Morrie's a note today. Only drawback is the missing Beosound audio, but the dealer seems super easy to work with.

The premium sound audio is more than adequate. To be honest, I hardly ever have my music on......it comes from the tailpipe.

My previous V12S had the Beo - fantastic - however so is the premium sound. So going from Beo to Premium is like going from 575HP to 565... not a great deal of difference. The rising speakers were cool.

Glad to hear you are still searching. The Virage in Gilbert, AZ was a test of my patience with the sales manager. There were so many blatant things wrong with that car, some of which need paintwork to correct. I was happy to do that for someone on the forum. I would hope that others pay it forward in the future. Just by doing a visual you can save someone the headache and expense of a PPI on a car that would not be to their liking.

To me the sound system is not a deal breaker. Go for condition and a color scheme you like. I have an aftermarket stereo system in my Vantage that was installed during the previous owner's time frame. It sounds amazing when I actually have it on. I mainly drive the car to hear the Aston exhaust note. It is great therapy for the soul.
