This 308 GTBi has been owned by its most recent owner for quite some time. It has always been maintained and serviced properly, in 2009 it received a much restoration, regardless of cost. All receipts and photos to documentation are included.

The exterior was entrusted to Autosport Designs, Inc. to cosmetically restore. The 308 was stripped to bare metal, the lower door sections, not terrible by any means, but known as a problem rust area on these cars were completely replaced during the repaint. It was repainted in its original color. At this time the front and rear bumpers as well as the front grille were converted from USA specification to the much cleaner European specification. The sideview mirror was also updated to Euro spec. and a new front windscreen fitted. The interior was also serviced and cleaned as necessary and a new factory headliner was sourced and installed. More recently, the interior was thoroughly detailed and both front seats were reupholstered in correct Crema leather, pattern and stitching.

Recent mechanical work performed: The engine was removed from the car and a major service was completed, including the following: cylinder heads were removed from engine, measured and machined as needed and reinstalled with all new gaskets and hardware, the timing belts and tensioners were replaced, Sport camshafts were supplied and installed (power more like a 348 than 308), new motor mounts were fitted, all new coolant and heater hoses, new water pump assembly, new thermostat, European exhaust system with Hyperflow catalyst. Both cooling fans and the radiator were also replaced. The suspension and braking systems were completely overhauled, wheel bearings serviced and new tires fitted. All servicing remains fresh as of 2016 with Ferrari specialists – as a result, this must be one of the nicest 308 GTBi’s to be offered.

Ferrari 308’s have always had an excellent following, today they are seen as vintage, but exceptionally usable and one of the best looking Ferrari’s of the modern era. This rare 308 GTBi is both cosmetically and mechanically excellent throughout.
