Completely agree! This has been the best "all-around" car I've ever had the pleasure of owning. Cars & coffee, spirited driving, daily practicality? No problem.

I have to ask - why the switch to the M cars?! I have a soft spot for the Z4M myself.

You have it backwards. Went FROM M cars to the Audi, and now two Porsches. Would never go back to BMW unless it was something made prior to 2002.

Z4M never held a candle to the RS5.

Thanks for the kind words! Will do - however at the moment I don't plan on removing or replacing anything but will certainly keep you in mind.

Whoops! Having owned different examples of all three marques, as much as Porsche takes the cake, Audi, especially the RS5 seems to be the sweet spot that just does everything well and is a very nice all arounder and capable machine.

I've never understood 2 things about these cars,

1) how little love they got, especially form the journalist
2) how well they've maintained their value, especially given #1 above.

One of the best looking coupes of the last decade or so in my opinion.

Fully agreed on both points. I'm surprised on how little love they've gotten as well. Although it's a few years old, Matt Farah did an initial One Take style review on an early B8.5 Coupe and wasn't all too thrilled about it, but as soon as he gets his hands on a same age or older BMW M car, that car does everything perfectly. I digress.

I think there will always be a spot for modern era Audi RS cars. Like I've outlines, this is the last naturally aspirated V8 to come out of Inglostadt, with an 8,250rpm redline at that! I believe that these cars are very under-appreciated. Same applies to the C5 RS6...that car would eat any W210/W211 E55 AMG and even the E39 M5 of the era for breakfast.

Much like the Ur-Quattro of the 80's, which is still under appreciated in my opinion, I hope these Audi RS cars gain a new found appreciation because aside from not only looking great aesthetically, they are extremely capable, do-everything, fun, all-around cars.

Point proven! The B8 coupe platform has to be one of the most appealing modern coupe's out there. I've loved these cars so much, I remember walking into the dealer and buying a floor spec Aruba Blue Metallic 6MT A5 Coupe because I fell in love with it at first sight, one of the most comfortable coupes I've owned - more so than my Maserati GTS! Steering was too floaty, the car itself was just finicky, though thats not to say I wouldn't pick up a 16+ GranTurismo if the time and car is right.

Here's mine at Bear Mountain back in early April.

Bump! Price reduction.

Anyone interested in trading any 997 onwards 911's or 987.2 onwards Caymans?
