I am selling a used Speedtech exhaust with cats that was on my 996 turbo. I bought it used from the forums about 6 or 7 years ago, and I enjoyed it since then (probably less than 3000 miles... I clearly don't drive the car enough!), but I recently replaced it with a Europipe. As always, exhaust notes are difficult to convey, but I would describe the Europipe as a little more aggressive than stock, and the Speedtech as a step more aggressive than Europipe.

I can also include O2 sensor extenders, which came with the exhaust when I bought it, but I didn't need/use them.

There are scratches and dents on the bottom of the exhaust "cans", but these are not visible unless looking from below and of course should not affect performance.

Hi did you get any check engine lights with this exhaust? Any sound clips as this seems to be an older system that is not their website.

 

I did not get a check engine light, but I have a light tune. For non-tuned cars, I believe you need O2 extenders to eliminate the CEL. I have the O2 extenders that came with the exhaust when I bought it (used), but I did not use the extenders... they are included with the exhaust.

Unfortunately, the exhaust is off the car. I did not get any video or sound clips (and barely any pics on the car). Would have been a good idea, although I have never found these sound clips helpful. The speedtech website has some videos for 996tt, which may help. They all sound similar to me

For anyone interested, if you buy the exhaust and don't like the sound, I'm happy to have you return it within, let's say 30days. I would just ask that you cover shipping both ways (or pickup/dropoff fine, of course).

I believe the Speedtech exhausts are supposed to be low drone exhausts. But I think all exhausts drone. The speedtech would have what I would consider some drone ~2500 rpm or so. My Europipe exhaust has lower cabin noise (it is a quieter exhaust) and less drone. And stock has even lower noise and less drone. But even the stock exhaust drones a bit. I had the speedtech on my car for a while and the drone didn't bother me... granted, I didn't drive the car much!
