Ive owned this car for the past 18 years and am the second owner.
The car was originally owned by a NY hotel owner who used this car at his vacation property in Miami FL. During the purchase process I had a PPI performed by Champion Porsche Miami, which revealed the car was immaculate.
Stage 2 performance upgrade (550HP):
- Europipe 100 cel exhaust imported from Belgium (beautiful exotic sound, no drone).
- FVD Brombacher flash
- Zero Clearance hybrid turbos
- Forge diverter valves
- GT2 intercoolers
- OEM clutch was replaced with a Sachs GT2 one.
- 964RS engine mounts
- K&N rechargeable air filter
Cosmetic/comfort upgrades :
- HRE 542R Rims. 315/25/19 tires. Ultra wide stance and slightly lowered through the use of Eibach springs.
- The PCM system was replaced by high-end audio : Kenwood Excellon double DIN unit, Pioneer amp, Focal speakers, Subwoofer enclosure installed on top of the rear seat (can easily be removed). The sound in this car is amazing, even when driving top down.
- Ruf style pistol grip steering wheel
- TPMS sensors
- Air inlet dividers
- Philips Daytime Driving Lights
- Vinyl stripes (can be removed with heat gun)
- BBI slave clutch. The OEM hydraulic clutch accumulator tends to fail about every 3 years and is a pain to replace since it sits on top of the transmission. The BBI kit creates a separate (DOT4 instead of Pentosin) circuit which eliminates this always failing component.
- While the engine was removed from the car (necessary for the clutch replacement), I also pinned the coolant lines at 8 different locations. There are reports of failing epoxy glue which result in (mainly GT3s) blowing off their coolant lines and possible catastrophic engine failure.
- The rear wing hydraulic circuit is another component which constantly fails (hydraulic leaks). I removed it and bought a kit to pin the rear spoiler into a fixed position.
Maintenance has been well in excess of Porsche suggested schedule. There have been 1 to 2 oil changes each year (Mobil1 0W40), brake fluid changes every year (Ate 200), and about every 5K miles a major maintenance (gear box fluid, differential fluid, spark plugs, coolant, fuel filter, air filter clean&lube, cabin filter,...). Last major maintenance was completed in April 2025.
The car will come with any of the OEM components which were replaced under my ownership (PCM, exhaust, etc...).
This is a unique opportunity to own an immaculate 996 Turbo which is stunning, super fast and had all its OEM design imperfections improved upon.
Title in hand. The car is located in Central Oregon (nearest airport RDM).
