I will be visiting LA for business and wife in a month. Any good suggestions on hotel for convenience and quality for $150-200 per night? BH and Hollywood are overpriced so I am thinking of staying closer to the beach like Santa Monica, Venice, etc. Thx fellas...

 

the Fairmont in Santa Monica is very nice and located right off the Promenade but I am not sure what their current rack rates are. I would just call and see what they can offer you. I have gotten rooms there for under $200/night previously.

 

just checked their current prices. They want minimum $370/night on their regular room. I guess the fuel prices has alot to do with it.. ;-P

 

ayres hotel in manhaton beach/west hawthorn

close to lax, 405, and santa monica rates around 140 a night.


otherwise theres the w and westins around the city but may be over your 200 dollar a night cap.
