Question Need a Good Traffic Lawyer in So Cali (Bakersfield to be exact)

I got pulled over for reckless driving this weekend up in Bakersfield this weekend and I'm in need of a good traffic lawyer because there are mitigating circumstances that will aid me in dropping the charge down to a regular speeding ticket. Please PM me any referrals...

Those aren't traffic lawyers. The DUI guy might be but it's probably a stretch. Sounds like you need an expert. PM Stuka.

If it's 23103, then be prepared to shell out a lot of money if you are gunning for not guilty.

Stan the Radar Man can't be beat. Funny name I know, but he is awesome.

Alternatively, you can go to the mandatory court appearance, in very nice suit, be very very polite and beg the judge and see if he is willing to knock it down to either 22348b with no suspension. The worst he can do is say no, then you enter not guilty plea and spend the big bucks.

If he said yes, you are out 2 points, about a grand in fine, IIRC, and have a super charged insurance rate.

Tell her Thomas from Accutech Dental Studio sent you.
Good luck.

Call Sherman Ellison. He is a great guy!!!!!!!!

There is no one better. He has fought 3 cases now for me and I beat everyone of them. 30 Miles over and illegal start and 40 miles over all dismissed. He is expensive but well worth it when you look at the cost of the fine you will pay and your insurance rate increase.

+1 on Sherman Ellison! I saw this post and that is first person that popped in my head. I have used him before and so have many others. My ticket just vanished! GL!

I wish I could say that I had a great experience with Sherman. Unfortunately he didn't do anything for me except take a bunch of my money. I guess I was the "unlucky one". My ticket was a 90 in a 65 in Ventura County. I thought I could just pay my way out of it but... All I'm saying is there are no guarantees.

I got a 22348b a couple years back in Bakersfield...clocked at 119mph in a 70. 2 points, no suspension, $711 ticket, and a supercharged insurance rate.

How fast were you clocked?

I can attest to Sherman also. He got me off on a bogus ticket of 73 in a 55. Cop claimed he was pacing me going uphill in a commercial vehicle weighing 70,000lbs at the scales. He got it dismissed with no points or penalty.

Let's just say allegedly more than twice the speed limit.

No radar, he estimated the speed based upon trying to catch up to us. I did not have my radar detector on. His "estimated" speed was 115+ in a 55 which is BS because we never went over 110 (only when passing people) and were cruising at around 95-100. I got a good lawyer who knows the ADA and some of the cops. First off from the ADA was 2 point speeding ticket, 15 day suspended license, and $1,500 fine. My lawyer said that is only the first offer and we should be able to get rid of the suspended license and lower the fine down to $1,000. He is not as optimistic on being able to get it down to a 1 point speeding it.
