Any Good Wheel Refinish Shops in the OC Area?
Dennis,
I'm sorry to hear you weren't happy with CWS, it sounds a completely frustrating and disappointing situation ordeal.
Until now, everyone I've sent there (either directly or via forum post) for work has had nothing but good things to say. I've had stuff take a little extra time occasionally, but have always been extremely pleased with the finished result. I've never had him paint wheels, I always powdercoat. But my experience has been that Paul knows the best people for whatever kind of wheel work. Numerous people have had perfect wheel repairs when other shops have turned them away.
After talking to Paul about it, it seems like the expectations you both had going into things were not the same when things finished. There were some problems and changes along the way. He wanted to try and make sure everything was up to snuff for you thus the multiple trips requested. And when everything was said and done, both of you ended up feeling like you got the short end of the stick.

Talked to Paul a couple of hours ago (visited his place for first time). He told me that you cannot refinish BBS wheels, because the exterior metal layer is thin and "glued". Did not know that.
