See his post a couple above about PM'ing him your identification (name, car, username) to get on his guest list for the caravan down to the Marine base.

(Sirgolfalot is not only a sports car nut like the rest of us, he's a Marine MP, and will be escorting us in the caravan from HRE onto the Marine Reserve Depot base. We'll bypass the search line if you're on his list. Otherwise if you're not, it's no big deal to get your car searched, just be sure to leave firearms and anything questionable at home.)

Holy hell I somehow completely forgot. Had to make a last minute run to Wally World for a toy and had no time to wash the car. Please don't point at me and laugh tomorrow!

hello all...just wanted update everyone...

1. We are set for the convoy tomorrow. I have visitors passes for everyone. We will be entering the depot through the Washington street gate. We will proceed through the base to the car show area where the folks not in the show can park in a special area I have designated and the car show folks will be parked by the car show personnel. (I'll be pulling aside and helping in this process) I have about 20 parking spots available is a designated area for us.

** on a side note, I may lead the convoy through a different gate based on road conditions tomorrow morning,..gate 4 has less stop lights to get us separated....so don't freak if I don't stick to my route.

2. If you come to the depot later or are going earlier...take the washington street exit from I-5 toward base (the ocean). follow washington st under PCH and keep right at the fork up to the gate. If you are not with the convoy, have your Driver's license ready and be prepared to have your vehicle searched.

3. For those of you with modifications and CVC code /law issues..ie license plates, exhaust, etc....DONT WORRY about tomorrow...the MP's are not looking for anything tomorrow related to those issues. So long as the car is safe and is road worthy, you are good for tomorrow. If for some reason you do have issues at the gates with one of the MP's, call me direct at 760-405-3576.

Many thanks to HRE and Sgt Donald (USMC) for a fantastic day. HRE was wonderful to organize the pre-show event and Don was a great squadrant leader with about 30 car down the I-5 and primo parking at the event. Lot of toys donated for a worthy cause. Go Marines
