The weather doesn't look like it's cooperating...hopefully it won't be raining in the morning / midday though. If it's not pouring down in the morning, we'll be there.

 

Glad to hear there are ladies coming. My wife likes to ride, but hates when she's the only female there!

Guys, I had a little setback today. My 8 year old best friend of a dog was struck by a car and is in the emergency clinic on florida blvd. She has internal bleeding and will be in the clinic for a few days if everything works out.

I have no conflict with the morning get-together (it's closer to the vet than my house is), but may need to skip out on the drive or leave early. Tomorrow will tell. I will see yall at 10ish.

 

Will this be a relatively sane trip, or do any of you plan on setting any land speed records? Also, still haven't heard news regarding the planned route. I-12 is a mess with the new layer being added from Exit 65 to Exit 59. As of last night there was still the "split level" lane issue with the only 1 new lane complete. My vote is to stroll down 22 and cut up 1077 or take 22 all the way into Pontchatoula then hop on 55.

 

I was thinking 22 the whol time into pontchatoula, then on the little hwy that runs along the water into manchac. I cannot speak for the other guys but I wasn't planning to get into any trouble speed wise.

 

My "entourage" (i.e. wife and 2 short family members in the back) may be along for the ride. They can handle just about any pace except,...and I quote Spaceballs, "ludicrous speed".

 

I'm getting ready to head to Mandeville in the next 30 minutes. I'd rather have a nice drive and not try to break any land speed records but a little speed doesn't hurt. See you guys/gals soon.

Just talked to both of my buddies and we will all be there...we'll probably get there about 9:15...

well, I ended up not being able to go, but the weather is beautiful (at least on this side of the lake) so I hope you all have fun!

 

Guys I'm in a pretty raunchy place right now. Still at the emergency vet clinic with my dog undergoing surgery. The timing was terrible, I spent way too much efforts on way too many forums putting this group together to miss it. I appologize for that.

I hope to god someone has a camera with them and that the times are good enough to repeat the meet in the near future. It's killing me that I'm not there . See you all at hooters In a couple.
