Vinod, I wanted to thank you again for setting this event up. I also strongly support your vision of a respectable group that does not street/highway race. I am all for carting and track days even the drag strip. Let keep racing where it belongs and the fun drives just that. I look forward to the next event.

Police escort? Hmmmmmm, I think that most everyone that goes on these looks fwd on the drive to the destination as there is an opportunity for "spirited" driving. Having a police escort kills the funnest part of the meet.

My suggestion is, if you are looking for a respectable group is to spend Sundays at a House of Worship.

With the right officers and organization, it could be a really cool thing for Houston. By no means would it be time for racing or the TK2Kx 200 MPH blasts, but I'm assuming it wouldn't necessarily be limited to parade speeds either.

Gentlemen,
It seems that we have two factions developing. However I believe that I can offer a viable solution.
The factions are 1; The "Spirited Driving" faction (hereafter referred to as SD) who loved a little competition on the Mexican 290 and 2: The Police Escort" (PE) faction who believes in strictly adhering to all posted laws.
First, we all need to understand Vinods position: He can not risk liability by being associated with any illegal acts that could result in harm to anyone so he is justified in taking a strong PE stance.
What I suggest is that we all get together and hang out as usual. The PE's will then take the designated pleasure drive.
The SD's will then go somewhere else, totally unrelated to to the PE's and plan their own route.
That way both faction will be happy and future events will be well supported.
