good job just had yellow hid fogs installed...got the kit local for 100$ ... and they said they would install for 100$ ..... took them about 4 hrs lol.... what the hell were they doin in there !?!?!?!?! Great write up

I finally did the conversion from halogen to xenon. I was tired not being able to have a good vision at night. I bought an hid kit for 110$ shipping included. I ordered the 4300k canbus 55w. I did the installation myself. It took me around 50minutes to complete the installation. I personnaly dont recommand anyone to pay to get an hid kit installed on this car. Its fun to do it and easy. If someone have any question concerning installation or where i bought my hid kit...... pm me. i took 1 picture last night:

Not ready to try this but I do have a burned out "park" light. Now I know how to access it to change the bulb.

Anyone do the fog lights with hid conversion kit?

I didnt see this article till after I had done mine, but I did basically the same thing, except I mounted the ballast on the back of the enclosure instead of inside it. I used some small wood-screws to screw the ballasts to the backside of the little enclosure door, and then drilled a hole the correct size for the grommet that came with the wiring to run the bulb and power leads through the door. I had let mine sit for some time with the HIDs on, and pulled the assembly out and checked the temps, and while the ballasts were warm, it didnt seem hot like it was going to damage anything. The lights have been installed for about 8 months now.

I wish these headlights were hi-low instead of separate high bulb and low bulb. If you do each of the bulbs using the kit in the writeup, when you switch from low-high, you will get the inevitable warmup delay....which I think would be unacceptable. I havent actually tried it though, maybe its not such a big deal.

The only drawback has been that these ballasts produce horrible RF interference in my ham radio. An RF choke on the radio power lead helps significantly, but doesnt eliminate the interference entirely. I may try some RF mesh on the ballasts. These ballasts have produced this RF interference in every vehicle in which I have installed them. But if you arent a ham, it shouldnt bother you.
