does anyone know how long it takes to change a muffler on a 996tt?
what would a porsche dealer charge. thanks

 

Don't know about dealer charges but it's not a difficult job if some of your bolts are not siezed due to prolonged heat. If that's the case, it can add a lot of time to the process.

 

Cannot think of any possible reason to have a P dealer do it.

Takes an hour, but I am guessing 'book time" (ie what they charge) will be 2 hours. Even if the nuts are seized, a competent shop can crack them off.

 

Local dealer in Los Angeles, Downtown LA Porsche quoted me 650-750 to install PSE only (no wires to switch) on my C4S. Not sure if it's diff than for TT but I'm going to take mine to an independent. Just called dealer for reference price.

Now that I've done it a few times, it takes me about 1.5 hrs...maybe less.

 

Thanks guys, your right it takes about 11/2 hours. Best hour and a half ever sent on a car wow what a difference. Charged me $225.00
