Setting bilstein coil over suspension

My 996 turbo has bilstein coil over suspension. I understand you can change the setting yourself? Can somebody suggest how?

Which setting?

Ride height or dampening?

Or...both?

I took mine out cause it sounds like crap......and to alow access to my JIC adjusters.

You just pop off the plastic port rings on each side and there is a screw that holds the sub to a bracket.
