Seat back removal on sport seat

Does anyone know how to remove the seat back on the sport seat? I plan on getting them painted. I've been told that they are a pain to get back on and that they will never fit properly again. Is this true? Has anyone tried this? Thanks.

i took mine off and they were difficult but not impossible to get back on. basically the leather unclips from that edge in the rear. kinda hard to explain - hopefully someone can say it better.

i hope you're taking your seats out to do this. i cannot imagine the level of difficulty trying ot do this with your seats "in situ"

Do they look the same after you put them back on? I was told horror stories that the leather never fits flush again against the seat back once you take them off.

mine looked completely normal but I was thinking when we were putting the leather back on how if we were even a 1/2 cm off, the leather would look off kilter nad not right. maybe we were just lucky - but i did have a porsche tech doing the work
