964 or Boxster S

Looking at a dedicated track car that I can drive to the track, dont have the space, inclination or budget to trailer a car. Currently running about 12-14 days a year.

Would like to run either a 964 or a Boxster S,
Starting slowly with wheels, tires and suspension then progressivly adding and updating.

Any suggestions, recommendations ?

TIA
J

Boxster S will accelerate your learning curve. Very predictable to drive closer to the limit than a 964. I have a RS America and have owned a Boxster S.

I went from a 1990 964 C2 Cab to a 2001 Boxster S and the handling difference was night and day. I have not tracked either but I can say that I am MUCH more comfortable driving the Boxster near its limits than the 964. There were a few times when I'd be driving the 964 around town and the back would come out for seemingly no reason (once while accelerating in a straight line from a stop light in light rain...not even fast). As a novice track star, I look forward to taking the Boxster out on a track one day...but if I were to take the 964 out, I would be much more nervous about it-- I'd be too afraid of the oversteer.
