Track etiquette, terms... etc. Someone fill me in?

I consider myself a good driver in terms of the basics. I understand the things one would need to in order to be an above average driver on the road. I am big into modification and quarter mile tracking but I wanted to learn about road course racing... Lime Rock, VIR, Laguna Seca etc. I am weak in regards to terms, technique etc. I hear things such as...

Apex= ???
Heal toe= ???
Left foot braking= ???
Rev matching= Know what it is and how it's done...

I understand some of these things are a do it or you won't understand it. I would just like to get a chunk of the termanology and definitions, as well as track advice between doos and don'ts. I'd like to feel out the basic must know things so if I did venture with OUT a skip barber like school under my belt I would not get myself or anyone else killed. I'm somewhat road course ignorant. Forgive me, I'm sure it's more refreshing to hear what I'm saying than some yuppie in a Ferrari that assumes he knows and screeeeetcchhhhhh WHAP! Into a wall. Thanks

Just do it. You will be asked about your experience level and an instructor will be riding along with you. Most clubs also have several classroom sessions too.

thats a pretty broad question. buy a book, seriously. ie "going faster" by skip barber, old but good "techniques of motor racing" by piero taruffi.

Great! That cleared up a LOT. I actually understood a lot of things but now can apply it.
