I have recently purchased a 996TT that I plan on tracking. Does anyone have any recommendations as far as racing seats? I am 5'7" and 170lbs. Thanks for any input!

 

You have to try for fit and also consider overall use.

The Porsche GT3 seats are incredibly comfortable even on long street drives and are decent track seats.. I have them in my DD GT3.. But they are not dedicated track seats.. The sides are not that high and the fit is not super snug - which is also why they are nice on the street..

So you need to friendliness into your matrix. What is the car for?? What is the primary use?

The best track seats are incredibly supportive on the track, but either not comfortable on the street or in the case of a Halo seat, (which is what i have in my track car) utterly inappropriate and possibly dangerous.

Materials too.. I like leather for the street and cloth / fiber for the track.

Needless to say.. You are getting a roll bar too right?
