Might be getting a job soon (Wheeeeee!) and hence getting some $$$ to take the Boxster out on DE's. I figure it would be wise to participate in some AX's first, to not only get a feel for the car with the mods but also to get the human factors stuff sorted out; i.e. helmet w/balaclava and prescription glasses, shoes, gloves, roll cage padding, harnesses, seat position, arm restraint, window net (if I get it in time) and Issac (again, funds be willing). My question is the suit and Carbon X undies, should I wear them to the event or is that a waste of time (especially if it is hot). Is the total "feel" important for someone who is getting back into this sort of thing after many years and who has only done track days in jeans and shirts and tennis shoes? What is the "in" crowd wearing these days? Us SoCal types need to know as to avoid a fashion faux pas in front of the paparazzi.
