Brakes

Just went to my second event at Sebring this weekend. I am currently driving a C4S,

I will replace fulid with High temp fluid and S Steel lines.

I need suggestions for new pads. Should I install yellow or Orange and can you tellme the difference.

Thanks

I assume you are talking about Pagid Orange and Pagid Yellow pads. If so, the yellows were designed for endurance races and will last much longer than the oranges. We've had the same discussion on a couple other boards, and the yellows get good reviews. Their downside is higher initial cost, but they will last longer to offset the cost difference.

If you want more details, let me know and I'll point you to some links with more detailed discussions.

FYI, here's a thread that discusses brake pads, including Pagid yellow & oranges:

I just had the Yellow 19's (or 29's i cant remember) on my C2. Besides the initial SQUEEL that i got, which went away after one day, VERY nice braking. Nice pads.

Squeal can definitely be an issue for street driving with the Pagid Oranges. I'm guessing it's similar with the Yellows, although I've never personally run them. On the track the only thing squealing is the passenger
