Need to buy my first helmet....

I've already searched and have a good idea of what I'm looking for.

What I do need from you guys is a heads up on where to get a decent SA2005 helmet in the $300-$500 range. I have a decent road bike history and am used to Arai but can't justify the $700ish prices for something I'm going to use no more than 5-7 times a year. As track time and driver events enter the picture I will upgrade, but for now, just need a safe AutoX and short time on track helmet.

Back to the topic! Who is the best sponsor, site to use?
Oh yeah, I need to get it by 7/20, so if any sponsors have something in large(at least in Arai sizes) in stock please chime in or PM me!

Thanks
Anthony

Which helmet to use

I would suggest a Bell helmet. I use a MP4 which is relatively light and is in the $400/$500 range. Stable Energies in Garfield, NJ has a good selection. Take a ride over there and try them on. Helmets vary condisderably is size and should be tried on for proper fit. The have a web site for you to check out.

Thanks, that is the helmet I was looking at. My head measures 23 and 1/8" so I'm on the border between sizes. I'll take a ride up there and try some out.

Helmet info

That was my measurement, but for the Bell Helmet you will need a 7 5/8 size. The MP4 I selected has a larger shield openning for eyeglasses.
