Relax sharkster :) , you have plenty of time. In five to six weeks you'll be far enough along with the reading to determine if it is fiction or non-fiction. hilarious :o

Rob at S Car Go Racing is finally releasing some pics. Here are the intake valves. Heads, turbo's and headers will hopefully start to follow tomorrow.

Note the concave face.

These intake valves are made of super exotic metal (primarily Inconnel). They are capable of running on nitro. They are extremely light capable of operating @11,000 rpm's. The face and the area behind the face have been coated by HP Coating to withstand 2,600 degrees F. The stems have been coated for high rpm's and to reduce friction. Both coatings are impervious to corrosion.

The hot side are K24's circa 1995 GT2 with Martensentic 235 impellers. These 24's are larger than the 996 K24's. They are also very, very rare. O believe the compressor side are Garrett 40's. A little work has been performed on them.

Here are some pics.

As for the A/R ratio .............. I believe it is .50.

Chad those are some serious looking turbos. I'm assuming you are coating the turbines? Your turbos seem to be very specialized. How would you say they would compare to some of the new versions developed by Kevin? He seems to be doing some very interesting work.

Zippy,

Yes, the hot side turbo's were coated on the exterior housing. Pics will be provided soon. I promise. Just can't seem to get Rob to send them to me despite repeated requests.

Kevin's turbo's ............... you know I am not sure where Kevin is currently at with his turbo's? The last time we talked at my house he was specializing with the K16's and he was doing quite a job. :) Kevin definitely was taking the K16's to heights others were not going. Not sure if he has extended his product to the type of motor we are currently assembling.

I'm not sure where he's at now. I believe I've heard him speak about a stage 7. I'm not sure if these are still based on K16's or if he's now into bigger turbines.

Kevin is a regular on another board. I wish we could get him over here a little more. :)

thanks chad for the turbo pics ... wow the exhaust side is even polished too nice! thanks for the response.. the turbo's look great? Correct me if i am wrong you are still using internal wastegates? thats what it looks liek in the pics..?

isnt an external wastgate better for high hp applications? since they can sustain more boost and they tend not to crack easily?

Those pics were posted quite awhile ago by Duane. I believe he used them on his car. I'm sure there has been changes to the Zero Clearance Turbo's since then.
