PSS9s or KW V2

I drive 50% city and 50% country roads. Which system/brand is better?
Thanks.

KW V2... i had both systems in a E46 M3 I had and I liked the Kdubs more... cant go wrong with either tho, prolly a matter of personal preference when talking abut 2 of the better coilover suspension kits out there... kdubs would be comfortable in the city, but handled well when I did "spirited" driving, and also can lower a car lower than any other brand, by far...

No experience with KW's, but PSS9's on my 996TT feel very similar to stock, just slightly stiffer. So if you're going for a lower stance and want near-stock ride they work well.

If you're a track monkey you should look for something better.

Thanks for the responses.

I may drive to the track, but I will never be ON the track. Lowering my car is not a priority.

From my research, the KWs are a greater step up than the PSS9s versus stock suspensions. This is my first coilover system, so I figured I should go with the KWs.

KW are more for someone who wants to push their car more. If you want a little less expensive suspension, get the PSS10(PSS9 replacement). If you have the factory PASM, get the PSS Damptronics.

both are good street suspension. Get whichever is cheaper.

both are great , prefer kw though

KWs are ordered. Thanks for the help.

Did you go with V2 or V3 ?

Bellefonte 03-06-2008 08:32 AM

I went with the V2s because I don’t need to setup different up/down dampening for the street.

KW is a great choice :D

What model car do you have? Most Porsche applications are Variant 3

Bellefonte 03-11-2008 09:32 AM

The application is not for a Porsche, it is for a JDM car. I have really been disappointed with the Japanese design/quality so every part that I replace will be from Euro decent.hilarious

Bilstein PSS9's (9 way hand adjustable) and KW's are more tuned to the track where as the Bilstein Damptronics are more tuned for 50/50 street and track. With the Damptronics you can still use the sport button (PASM) to control shock stiffness.
