Very nice car. the back seat is spacious and you feel like you're being driven around in a Maybach.

too bad people couldn't get over the stereotype of it being a VW. It really is a well engineered car

Thanks guys! It is an '05 CPO. It has the 4.2 V8 which I prefer because it won't be a nightmare to maintain in a few years and after driving both I really couldn't tell a big difference in acceleration between the two. I think the fact that the V8 is lighter and has a 6 speed tranny (W12 only has 5 speeds) makes up the difference. This car shares most of the interior with the Bentleys and really puts the new S class to shame. People that have never sat in one can't believe how much room it has inside. Both rear seats are heated/cooled, massage, and can recline. The rear passenger can even adjust the front seat from the back to make more room.

Those cars are such a trip. I drove a black/black W12 with some aftermarket wheels and that thing ROCKED. I'd love for my dad to get one - and I'd go with the V8, too. If I'm going to pay to maintain a V12, it's going to be on an exotic.

Those wheels are bad though... change those and you've got a bad ****.

Let us know how the fuel economy is... i've heard that the real MPG is no where near the estimated EPA ratings.

Car looks great! I've been trying to get my dad to pick one up for awhile now. If anything, I'd paint the lower black plastic pieces body color to make it flow better.

that's an understatement - i think the Phaetom is the fasting depreciating car, but hopefully he picked it up for a good deal

i had a fully loaded 05 VW Touareg V8 - sticker was $55,XXX -- 2 years later, i had to fight to get $24,000 for it - sad - was a great SUV though

Love the interior, hate that exterior color. There is a reason only two people decided to get that color!
