I got the kit last week, waiting to have it installed by the body shop after painting. You could install it yourself easily, but you need to have it painted so you might as well have the body shop install it.

Fender flares

Wow!

Looks just GREAT!!!!

Living in Sweden and I am thinking of adding such a fender flare kit on my 2012 Touareg myself. I have got 22" wheels and would like to add some extra width.

Question. I cannot find any info reg how much extra width the oem fender flare kit adds? Could you help me please? I have avsked my dealer and they have no clue... (would also like to order some extra wheel spacers to fill out the flares properly - do you use spacers yourself?)

Looking forward to your reply. Meanwhile - your car looks super!
Ulf

Hi guys, sorry for not answering your questions. Yes, pieces were prepped and painted and then installed at a body shop. I don't recommend doing unless you are really sure what you are doing. Due to how the kit goes on, the pieces need to be adhered on with adhesive then screwed. I took it a step forward and also had the center section of the rear bumper painted to match the bumper. The kit adds 1-1 1/2" to the sides. Wheel spacers are not needed. Overall, the kit really gives you a aggressive look, I love it!!

No double sided tape, just adhesive. Thanks for the comments.

Nice looking car, don't see many of those these days. Did you get the V6 or W12 model?

Satisfied with the performance and mileage? Such a great option if you need a good DD with high mileage.

Great Performance and MPG is 29.5! It's a great DD, 44,000 miles and running strong! Only issue is steering wheel shake, I have done everything, New Tires, Balanced x4 times, Alignment, New Wheel Bearings and still shakes on and off again. VW is aware of it and has zero fix.......

That happens on high speed or pretty much on any speed? Very odd.
