'12 VW Jetta Sportwagen TDI APR ECU Upgrade and Carbonio Intake

Wanted to share this little TDI with you guys that we had in the shop the other day. It is a 2012 TDI Sportwagen came in wanting just a few minor upgrades not so much for the extra power and torque but for the gain in mpg's. With any engine helping it breath better is a great upgrade, so an APR Carbonio air intake was installed to give the Sportwagen a bit more fresh air. After the intake was in put to work it was time to upgrade the ECU software that adds 27 hp and 50 ft-lbs of torque, giving the Sportwagen 170 hp and 297 ft-lbs below 3,000 RPM! The great thing about this is you can still drive the car normally and get great mileage but when it's time to hit the fast lane it won't be any issue.

Build Parts List:

APR ECU Flash
APR Carbonio Intake

Still stock outside for the moment

Carbonio intake ready to go on

Stock system

All Gone

Carbonio installed

APR's Dyno results on the TDI

.....mmmmm Torque

Unfortunately, the only software we have at this time for the Passat's is for the 2.0TSI and the 3.6L VR6 motors.
