NO or N1
NO or N1
I guessing a lot of Porsche owners have found that it is hard to get Michlen PS2 tires for thier cars. I was lucky enough to find 2 back tires when I really needed them but found out they were NO tires not the N1s that I had on my car. From what I know the NO is a Porsche rate tire and so is the N1 however Porsche states that you should run all 4 NO or N1 the trouble is the NO are older and I can not find any NOs for the fronts now just N1s. Does anyone know if it is a big deal to run N1s on the front and NOs on the back?
any more details as to what exactly is NO and N1 and the difference between them and the non-NO/1 tires? is it a compound things? tread differences?
i ran into this situation while looking for P corsas. they had NO and no NO's. now the funny thing is that my local tire shop thought NO meant "No Porsches". (his computer screen showed "NO Porsche")
i had to convince him that NO is the porsche rated tire. whatever that means.
