Tire wear?

My tires are wearing out in the middle. I don't really understand how they can wear in a V. What would cause this? I could see one side or the other but wearing out in the middle confuses me.

most likely...over inflation possibly combined with misaligned toe

I don't know about the toe, but I have cheked the air and they were actually 5psi low. I don't think 5 psi would make a huge difference, would it? I will put it on an alignment machine and see what it shows.

I would try another gauge. Over inflation is the most likely reason. On the bright side, you should be getting better gas milage

Yes, overinflation is usually the reason, you could tell the tires are overinflated if the ride is bouncy. Here is a pic of what tire wear would be like under different air pressures.
