997 tire question..left/right

Hello,
I have a 2005 997s with 12000 easy miles. I bought some Carrera Classic tires and wheels with 1000 miles on them. My car was smooth running before I changed them and now there is a distinct vibration at speeds above 50mph. Does it matter if the tires were on the passenger or driver side previously (direction of rotation)? I cannot find where there is an indication of required rotation direction. These are Pirelli Rosso tires.
Sorry if this is a dumb question... Do I just need to get them balanced or is there something else I should be looking at.

Thanks
Ricardo

Which size Rosso tires are they? Most are asymetric so can be put on either side once on a rim. If vibrating above certain speed they are likely out of balance and need to be redone. Or you have tread-shift within the tire. A good road force balance should find the problem.

My problem was solved by having the tires balanced. It is on rails now... thanks for the input.
