Hammer out a bent wheel?

Anyone ever bang out a slightly bent wheel? I have forged multi-piece wheels and the lip is slightly bent obviously due to some sort of impact. Can I just hammer it out? Taking the wheel off and removing the tire and using a spare while it gets repaired is a lot of time and energy!

Not worth it IMO. A wheel takes maybe 1-2 days to get fixed. There are places that have machines that dismount and remount the tire.

Plus hammering out a rim is never a good idea because it can weaken the metal due to uneven pressure distribution to make it round again. Not to mention, even if it worked, the wheel might still have a balancing issue.
