I was watching The Weather Channel this AM at scenes of NJ. Wow. It just made me wonder if many of you wish that you had snow tires this season.

So, how many will be buying a set next year?

No way Damon, my car wont leave the confines of my garage in this nasty weather, but my Jeep which is stacked with a lift, sway kit, and monster tires is handling this snow nicely and actually having fun drifting it

Bob in NY is infamous around these parts
I have Blizzaks on my RWD DD and they work great in this weather. A Porsche is way too low to the ground to drive in snow over 12" deep. Too many people on the road that don't have proper tires for snow make it risky to take the P car out in snow.

Was out yesterday in NYC. Wasn't that bad. Have a stock nose so I wasn't plowing any of the streets (a GT3 would have). Key to driving in these conditions - slow down. It's not necessarily proper tires that make other drivers hazardous, it's their ability and mentality. It's not the guy/gal in the sports car w/summer tires that scares me, its the 18 to 20 something year old kid driving a snow-tired high-end SUV s/he got for Christmas who is trying to respond to texts on his/her iPhone while driving that does.

Just resurrecting an old post from last winter to poke the beehive guys. Time to be asking yourself, "...I am good? Can I get around on my present tires this year? Do I need to be calling Damon?"

It's already busy this year guys, and it rarely is before Halloween. Don't delay.
