Best way to DIY strip factory applied silver wheel paint?

I picked up a nice little Audi S4 for the wife and in the interest of matching the Turbo wheels a bit I want to strip off the paint and do a brushed clear finish. Any tips?

The Turbo w fully brushed clear lips and centers:

After the wheels are absolutely clean - free of debris, utilize a high-quality clear such as WURTH clear coat:
