Introducing the Forgeline CF203! - GMP Performance
Over the past year, Forgeline has rocked the wheel industry by introducing the groundbreaking new Carbon+Forged Series wheels. It started, at the 2016 SEMA Show, with the official release of the CF201 and CF202 models, which earned Forgeline a coveted Global Media Award. Then throughout much of 2017, the Forgeline team worked hard to ramp up the Carbon+Forged Series to full production status. And now, with the 2017 SEMA Show just around the corner, Forgeline is proud to launch their latest member of the revolutionary Carbon+Forged Series, the new CF203!
The intricately-sculpted Carbon+Forged CF203 wheel combines a weight-optimized CNC-machined forged aluminum center with their revolutionary proprietary carbon fiber barrel to deliver the ultimate in technological advancement, exclusive styling, and industry-leading lightweight performance. The CF203 offers cutting-edge styling with a unique precision-machined forged 6061-T6 aluminum center featuring ten asymmetric I-beamed Y-spokes grouped together in opposing pairs. These spokes connect far into the center, thanks to special engineering and machining deep into the edge of the mounting pad, and extend beyond the rim register to reach out over the step of the carbon fiber barrel!
The CF203’s super-lightweight carbon fiber barrel utilizes a high-density carbon fiber bundle, high-clarity resin system, and large carbon weave to create an attractive and visually distinctive rim that is 42% lighter than its aluminum equivalent, delivering a significant weight reduction to the wheel's outer perimeter, where it has the greatest reduction in unwanted inertia and yields real-world improvements to acceleration, braking, cornering traction, ride quality, NVH (noise, vibration, & harshness), driver/passenger comfort, and fuel economy.
Forgeline Carbon+Forged carbon fiber barrels are also engineered and tested to deliver industry-leading levels of fatigue strength, impact/damage resistance, and deflection stiffness. Tested by an independent automotive industry laboratory, they have proven to be incredibly strong and robust, exceeding all existing SAE and TUV test specifications and surpassing the AK-LH 08 Radial Impact Test standard.
The CF203 is available in 20 and 21-inch fitments, each uniquely engineered for modern exotic sport and luxury vehicle applications. And like any Forgeline wheel, the CF203’s forged aluminum center is available in the full array of customizable finish options.
