Pop off the bottom trim, again be careful to not damage any of the connectors/wires. I didn't remove any of them, but just used some microfiber cloths to set the trim aside. You can see the broken trim. Remove the shifter knob also, see YouTube for a good video on how to do that.

Pull off the top trim, becareful to not damage the clock cable. Disconnect it to remove the trim piece.
