This was my grandma's wagon. She purchased it brand new in 1968 and drove it until 1979. From 1979 'til 2001 it was parked at our family cabin in Idyllwild CA. In 2001 I brought it home and got it running but had no interest in any sort of restoration or cleanup at the time so it sat again until 2004.
In February of 2004 my grandma passed away and I thought it would be nice to restore the wagon and drive it to here memorial service. In 'Overhaulin' style, I did a 10 day whirlwind restoration including Paint, Chrome, Interior, Wheels, A/C & Heat and Disc Brakes. The car was finished literally hours before we had to leave for grandma's memorial service.
Since then, i have been driving the wagon on a pretty regular basis and have managed to put about 10,000 additional miles on the ODO. It's a great car with killer options and excellent memories too.
Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
700r4 Overdrive automatic trans
Suspension Modifications:
Disc brakes and dropped spindles.
Wheels/Tires Modifications:
18" American Torque Thrust.
Interior/Exterior Modifications:
Factory options include A/C, PS, PB, 6-way Power Seat, Power Windows, Tilt and 9 passenger rear seat.
