It doesn’t matter if you have a lot of money, or that your father owned a bunch of Ferraris back in his day. It doesn’t automatically make you Michael Schumacher or a driving god. This can be proven by the countless videos on the Internet that depict drivers of supercars crashing into things. We just saw one earlier this week with the fateful crash of the Porsche 918 Spyder. This time is no different.

What we have here is an accident involving a Nissan Elgrand, and a Ferrari 458 Italia in Hong Kong. As you see in the video, the white Ferrari 458 sped through the intersection to catch the changing yellow light and as the driver attempted to change lanes, the Nissan pulled out of the parking spot and into the Ferrari.

Now, it is unclear really who was in the wrong in this incident, but you’d think with carbon ceramic brakes the driver of the Ferrari would have given them a bit more time to stop. Or at least they should have had if they hadn’t sped up immensely to catch the red light. Nevertheless, maybe the Nissan is at fault, and didn’t see or hear the speeding Ferrari. Although given the nature of the Ferrari 458’s naturally aspirated V8, I highly doubt the driver didn’t hear something before the crash.

No though, we weep in remembrance of that poor Ferrari.
